The other day, for whatever reason, our need for a cookie fix was at an all time high.<br />
<br />
We've tried making cookies before to no avail (they were more like flat cakes and they did not hit the spot!).<br />
<br />
So, we gave it another shot and we were definitely pleased with the result!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltMWwaCMcOvPLn5ErwV3M7IkV2Rd1xuO7rr5gyzYlB5wA18GIB7Q0guDX7H0FeJ_58AAESIU1v5c1AjkSfB7leeJ-sIXdYYUPxG85tKPSvrC6wMdbkTGa7e3Nf6zDcTCLPjP2pYcQsKkL/s1600/primal+cookies.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltMWwaCMcOvPLn5ErwV3M7IkV2Rd1xuO7rr5gyzYlB5wA18GIB7Q0guDX7H0FeJ_58AAESIU1v5c1AjkSfB7leeJ-sIXdYYUPxG85tKPSvrC6wMdbkTGa7e3Nf6zDcTCLPjP2pYcQsKkL/s320/primal+cookies.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
What You'll Need:<br />
2 cups Almond Flour/Meal<br />
1/4 tsp Sea Salt<br />
1/2 tsp Baking Soda<br />
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil<br />
2 T honey (probably could opt for more here)<br />
1 T vanilla<br />
1/4 - 1/2 tsp Cinnamon<br />
1 large egg<br />
1/2 cup chocolate chips (we just chopped up a bar of our favorite dark chocolate)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjjEl_yCfZAB3lDxcLX6P7BtABymArNzBl06QYo-VSJTMn0btvw4GAJsATX8VUFe9uGWBqdBvi6BU8af0IAob0P7et4KU-Z1ULI4UGStT9Bna8xZuAKL2v4JlQb4wFo9RU_f8Cds-KIU_V/s1600/primal+cookie+recipe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="149" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjjEl_yCfZAB3lDxcLX6P7BtABymArNzBl06QYo-VSJTMn0btvw4GAJsATX8VUFe9uGWBqdBvi6BU8af0IAob0P7et4KU-Z1ULI4UGStT9Bna8xZuAKL2v4JlQb4wFo9RU_f8Cds-KIU_V/s200/primal+cookie+recipe.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on your cookie/baking sheet. [This recipes makes between 16-18 cookies depending on how big/small you like to make your cookies] Cook for 10-12 minutes until they start to brown around the edges.<br />
<br />
Super simple + delicious!<br />
<br />

After a little time hanging out at Whole Foods meeting with a friend and seeing people around me eating sushi, I thought that I must make it again. <br />
<br />
So I picked up a couple things that I like in my sushi while I was there and did some experimenting with all the ingredients.<br />
<br />
Here is what we used:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY-eFXXIa28oImamyiAg-yB44pEAih0jIvI-xXc1KcdLMZIP5ftqLChkQRd3KIFL72vgkmvuBgQYVaashMP8xLjUdv8IagQWDIqjinxbIydcQELBxf-79qGP2iKoxDGtjzmwPlhC9IlOcV/s1600/sushi+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY-eFXXIa28oImamyiAg-yB44pEAih0jIvI-xXc1KcdLMZIP5ftqLChkQRd3KIFL72vgkmvuBgQYVaashMP8xLjUdv8IagQWDIqjinxbIydcQELBxf-79qGP2iKoxDGtjzmwPlhC9IlOcV/s320/sushi+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<ul>
<li>1 head of cauliflower (instead of rice)</li>
<li>1 pack of organic seaweed</li>
<li>1 avocado</li>
<li>Raw cream cheese</li>
<li>Fermented carrots</li>
<li>Spices to taste (for the "rice")</li>
<li>Fermented soy sauce (we typically do not eat anything with soy, but when fermented, organic and unpasteurized it has numerous health benefits)</li>
<li>Wild caught shrimp (you could do this all veggie or with any other fish/meat)</li>
</ul>
Step 1) Steam your cauliflower. Then you will want to put it in a blender and get it to the consistency of rice.<br />
<br />
Step 2) Cut up all of the items for inside your sushi. I cut everything into small pieces to make everything a little easier.<br />
<br />
Step 3) Lay out a whole piece of the seaweed. You will then spread the cauliflower rice onto the side nearest to you. All the way across. <br />
<br />
Step 4) Spread out all other ingredients on top of and next to the cauliflower rice. <br />
<br />
Step 5) From there just roll up the seaweed with all the ingredients inside. It should roll pretty easily.<br />
<br />
Step 6) Cut into bite size pieces. <br />
<br />
<br />

There were so many cute gifts and crafts there and I decided it was a great time to get some inspiration. I fell in LOVE with this wooden block idea and immediately decided to put my own spin on it and do some crafts for Christmas!<br />
<br />
You can find plain wooden blocks at Hobby Lobby or Michael's for just a couple dollars each. From there I just used acrylic paint, random fake flowers/sticks and craft supplies I had!<br />
<br />
You can come up with your own ideas but here is what we came up with.<br />
<br />
I tied twine around the sides so you can easily slide a picture in and out to use these as picture frames. I think they are super cute either way!<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzQLxuUMvVr3zv9NdWuJsX5QnxDadt3EftKx9vugFGGNkhYZhEbk4sPd0xcb3AMBBEujNCLfnqtE55oMaRGWueD2jDc9cKay8HeRsDKBHSioteok0xCxtErxJYnBWly654KwnKJjiOBHyR/s1600/wooden+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="175" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzQLxuUMvVr3zv9NdWuJsX5QnxDadt3EftKx9vugFGGNkhYZhEbk4sPd0xcb3AMBBEujNCLfnqtE55oMaRGWueD2jDc9cKay8HeRsDKBHSioteok0xCxtErxJYnBWly654KwnKJjiOBHyR/s320/wooden+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Such a cute gift for my nieces this year!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>

<br />
We wanted to make a fourth one for some friends of ours and decided to make theirs a little different. We took a page from a church song book and used some mod podge to attach it to the wood.<br />
<br />
From there we used a diluted goldish paint and a stencil to keep a vibrant "V" in the middle of the block. Then we used twine to tie some dried flowers and sticks to the block... and that's it! Super easy and made such a thoughtful gift!<br />

Enough said. Somehow though they always know what you have been needing and longing for. God for sure granted moms with the ability to bring a family together! <br />
<br />
Over the past couple of Thanksgivings my mother has been set on doing a family craft. So this year it was for us to all make a burlap stocking. Not just decorating it, actually sewing it together and then decorating it! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_bgyeAo46x9vU0ZF_xxe7jmXG9tsgyK0OsRl5Do5_O8fNNB7mNaKbjJK8EPUdGJN9TzZOiVGYBkU1Bjgc9tkn4TuSkZaiuc7SkEf0KZixaCeUuDGLEEpDUUvyv0VXVuJ1OtGg6ZWBGZ-0/s1600/stockings.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_bgyeAo46x9vU0ZF_xxe7jmXG9tsgyK0OsRl5Do5_O8fNNB7mNaKbjJK8EPUdGJN9TzZOiVGYBkU1Bjgc9tkn4TuSkZaiuc7SkEf0KZixaCeUuDGLEEpDUUvyv0VXVuJ1OtGg6ZWBGZ-0/s320/stockings.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I was a little nervous about this one. Me and Shane sewing...ummm probably not going to happen. After a little trial and error (and good coaching from mom) we got the hang of it. Some a little faster than others. :)<br />
<br />
This ended up being one of my favorite memories that I am sure I will cherish it for years. To see my brother and husband actually having fun and laughing is something I will never forget. As far as my dad goes... he gave up after...well about 2 minutes. <br />
<br />
Check out our pictures and find some time to create memories with your family! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuN6IktzZeFWPqOzmhc-qgiEZRR3rQY_GsOt4PGrggsWEs8DCZWPtJJDnceeHWLPjaI9_my8Ifnqe_4JMk1jrc-nmMhNcx7VF9p22gZRfeIFL36GN_MmGH5V5DOCqI3Ybibrf5Hl2sidsU/s1600/releve-complete-care-kit-large.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuN6IktzZeFWPqOzmhc-qgiEZRR3rQY_GsOt4PGrggsWEs8DCZWPtJJDnceeHWLPjaI9_my8Ifnqe_4JMk1jrc-nmMhNcx7VF9p22gZRfeIFL36GN_MmGH5V5DOCqI3Ybibrf5Hl2sidsU/s320/releve-complete-care-kit-large.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Releve Skincare is <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">completely </span>organic and non-toxic. I'm talking you could literally eat this stuff if you were so inclined.<br />
<br />
They have cleansing soap, face & body lotion, moisturizer, a mask and peel for when your skin is needing a boost, an eye cream + a facelift cream to help fight anti-aging!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0PFX0ILydFBvSNX8geKpc7YUPg-3WrfvJww4Al7uYVeCalf9IqihXvGOytLRPHv7YO4RvMLM2jNQ7oY2T4aBqtWM7CpNE7kiwzrEWN8jVoNz8RgIs7wHAhnfuHWM4R9IeME0aP5ZDGQCT/s1600/2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0PFX0ILydFBvSNX8geKpc7YUPg-3WrfvJww4Al7uYVeCalf9IqihXvGOytLRPHv7YO4RvMLM2jNQ7oY2T4aBqtWM7CpNE7kiwzrEWN8jVoNz8RgIs7wHAhnfuHWM4R9IeME0aP5ZDGQCT/s320/2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I cannot emphasize enough how <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">great</span> these products have been for my skin. Speaking from experience when it comes to struggling with breakouts, I can honestly say that my skin has never been <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">clearer </span>since I've started using this stuff (the cleansing soap, clay mask, & enzyme peel are great for those with acne-prone skin).<br />
<br />
If you want to improve <span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 23px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif;">wrinkles, sagging facial and neck skin, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes and large pores then</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 23px;"> p</span>lease, PLEASE give these products a try (you can thank me later!)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh73MTryWPfI3PwN5wDGGxXWkAq0hyj5b7udvpKpkXXmHyGeJADGkrzSuoOS4PGdoG9fhlqFa_uz-GnrMGLaZBTKouQYRZtN_4LD3RxLzff8CxNnPv3xFAp8yZhh2LnCwjmZhu4XSj0fox3/s1600/BurlapMaterials.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh73MTryWPfI3PwN5wDGGxXWkAq0hyj5b7udvpKpkXXmHyGeJADGkrzSuoOS4PGdoG9fhlqFa_uz-GnrMGLaZBTKouQYRZtN_4LD3RxLzff8CxNnPv3xFAp8yZhh2LnCwjmZhu4XSj0fox3/s200/BurlapMaterials.jpg" width="188" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:<br />
Burlap (but that was probably obvious)<br />
Stencils<br />
Paint<br />
Brushes (stippling + regular for the edges)<br />
Trash bag<br />
<br />
First, I recommend covering your surface with a trash bag, unless you don't care if paint bleeds ALL OVER whatever is underneath it.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKB_SOguxjMJQs56DOT0WPu2B-_ijOSc2Zj_hOZVD8rg59DKem1ecfw1iBpi1pCnpk7g9CLGmkQ8lDQ7hmCvop22eU4k-duTCPvKDgwkRM1n5gTpmvAWV2WBgDjdKeOgh9-DCIEkhb55fZ/s1600/Burlap.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKB_SOguxjMJQs56DOT0WPu2B-_ijOSc2Zj_hOZVD8rg59DKem1ecfw1iBpi1pCnpk7g9CLGmkQ8lDQ7hmCvop22eU4k-duTCPvKDgwkRM1n5gTpmvAWV2WBgDjdKeOgh9-DCIEkhb55fZ/s320/Burlap.jpg" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Next, find any phrase you want and apply it to your burlap with the paint + stencils<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
It's <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">seriously</span> easy<br />
& the burlap takes the paint really well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2NN9sqcoERJRhpsWztKqKtsIUzd4wxlFJ5nki7iFDP2dNWwpQ9d-6CnGPtCXbhMe2uadgpH3tvfmRaIiDIcl9QRVYUQXC3EhoIOA5nDY7BgPuk4WdHwFzfTTj_D0eBbtNNf19L7l1FTiu/s1600/BurlapGarden.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2NN9sqcoERJRhpsWztKqKtsIUzd4wxlFJ5nki7iFDP2dNWwpQ9d-6CnGPtCXbhMe2uadgpH3tvfmRaIiDIcl9QRVYUQXC3EhoIOA5nDY7BgPuk4WdHwFzfTTj_D0eBbtNNf19L7l1FTiu/s200/BurlapGarden.jpg" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
(To hang the burlap: I just found a stick from the yard and sewed it in. Take twine (or whatever) and tie it around the ends of the stick and DONE!)<br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Good Luck!</span><br />
<br />
<br />

Find a local garden store and spend the afternoon finding yourself through nature! <br />
<br />
We found this great local gardening store in Nashville yesterday and I can't wait to go back! Sometimes it just amazes me how great little shops/parks and so much more can be so close without you even knowing! <br />
<br />
This shop was filled with everything from crafts, soaps, plants, seeds, fermenting and home brewing products, hydroponics, air plants and so much more! Check out the pics below of our little weekend find!<br />

But after a few seconds internalizing to myself about how this could turn out pretty funny, I decided that it was an awesome idea. <br />

<br />
For him...not for me! Well not yet. I stole his Vibrams and let him go barefoot. Check out the pictures and let us know how crazy you think he is! <br />
<br />
The health benefits of barefoot hiking and grounding are incredible. I would recommend you read more and try this sometime. I recommend trying for the health benefits, but you may enjoy the pleasure of everyone looking at you like you are crazy! :)<br />

In an attempt to recreate my pumpkin cookies and not realizing that I was out of coconut flour, I somehow stumbled upon an amazing Primal Spice Cake!<br />
<br />
This cake was absolutely amazing!! You can really add what you like and take away a couple items in this recipe to create your own, but here is what I put together. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBrBMf007yGpEn__ssYcz0cDe0sDjsoXFpUTb3pkw5c72lVs9G07sJFrjKjhkTkb1G-VUZcEjlDg2FlmXNZfrusHYCcw20nJ8BFABqZSNEKbqP5Gni4duGsw2usB8YelfMQ24YvuP6nyoF/s1600/Primal+Cake.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBrBMf007yGpEn__ssYcz0cDe0sDjsoXFpUTb3pkw5c72lVs9G07sJFrjKjhkTkb1G-VUZcEjlDg2FlmXNZfrusHYCcw20nJ8BFABqZSNEKbqP5Gni4duGsw2usB8YelfMQ24YvuP6nyoF/s320/Primal+Cake.jpg" width="239" /></a>Let me know how you like it!<br />
<br />
<br />
3 eggs<br />
1/2 cup butter or coconut oil (melted)<br />
1/2 cup pumpkin<br />
1 tsp vanilla<br />
2-4 T maple or honey<br />
1 cup almond flour<br />
2 tsp ginger<br />
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice<br />
1 1/2 tsp baking soda<br />
1/4th tsp allspice<br />
1/4th cup almond butter<br />
<br />
Mix together and cook on 350 for about 30 minutes<br />
<br />
I'll be posting the frosting recipe soon, so stay tuned!<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoy!!<br />

Last year I saw a book tree on Pinterest and decided that this year I definitely needed one! But, I couldn't wait until Christmas. So I decided to make a Halloween book Tree. <br />
<br />
It was so simple. We just stacked books until it looked even on each side. I went to Target and got some multicolored lights and a little pumpkin bucket for the top. It looks wonderful and gave us some Halloween spirit.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope you like it!<br />

Well here is a little tip on how we survive this way of living. We make our own! :)<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTyh4k7nNdulARhG5zt9F_sRX3P2kw1UI3l5c0QhuGW_Dz8tpdlJZ1iwRNaYA1hmi9S_CL1BxzQNjn03Xa3bWHN-8TrIbenh-3nPUtTKcwzIzSQ9rgTBO-sPbj1xllfzdJMQLQCT6vjHTj/s1600/Pumpkin+Latte.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTyh4k7nNdulARhG5zt9F_sRX3P2kw1UI3l5c0QhuGW_Dz8tpdlJZ1iwRNaYA1hmi9S_CL1BxzQNjn03Xa3bWHN-8TrIbenh-3nPUtTKcwzIzSQ9rgTBO-sPbj1xllfzdJMQLQCT6vjHTj/s320/Pumpkin+Latte.jpg" width="239" /></a>And that's exactly what I did today. It's fall and I am missing my Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I wanted to find a healthy alternative. It was a success! I'm sure you could change around the ingredients in this recipe to your own liking, which is always good. <br />
<br />
Let me know how you like it!<br />
<br />
<h3>
Pumpkin Spice Creamer</h3>
<i>Makes about 1 cup, leave in the fridge and enjoy for a week or with friends</i><br />
<br />
1 cup of coconut milk (can use raw milk or heavy cream)<br />
3 tablespoons pureed pumpkin<br />
1/4th tsp Nutmeg<br />
1/4th tsp Allspice<br />
1/2 tsp Cinnamon<br />
1/4-1/2 tsp Vanilla<br />
<br />
Heat up all ingredients on stove for a couple minutes on low to medium low. After everything is mixed add in 1-3 tsp of raw honey. Enjoy!<br />

This is absolutely the BEST dessert I have made, EVER! One great thing about it is that it is completely raw! You only need a few ingredients and follow a few steps and in no time you will have your own Key Lime Pie!<br />
<br />
Prep work:<br />
<br />
For our crust I decided to use pecans. One important thing with pecans is that you MUST soak them and then dry them before eating. This basically helps your body actually absorb and get all the nutrients from them. <br />
<br />
Soak them over night in a glass jar making sure they are completely submerged in water. Then you will need to dry them. You can do this in the sunlight or in the oven on low for a few hours.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJmbx7v5p4JKkMWk9l6_rNII9AO07m2BUH9vzYj13TKHLUq87KcMuCZT5WOyyBMTQ3be4cQS-e908oSq0o1ciizYBNT6r4EdJvdbLHAgs53L5QNXfWzVffN5n2Fxgc4sF9ZhEGB_hL5sAG/s1600/IMG_1371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJmbx7v5p4JKkMWk9l6_rNII9AO07m2BUH9vzYj13TKHLUq87KcMuCZT5WOyyBMTQ3be4cQS-e908oSq0o1ciizYBNT6r4EdJvdbLHAgs53L5QNXfWzVffN5n2Fxgc4sF9ZhEGB_hL5sAG/s200/IMG_1371.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now, on to the main dish. If you have a sweet tooth or have more than 2 people in your family who may love this, I would highly recommend that you double or triple this recipe! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Crust:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1.5 cups pecans</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 tbsp raw honey</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 tbsp water</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/4 tsp cinnamon</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/4 tsp sea salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Mix all ingredients and fill the bottom of glass pie dish. With all the honey it should all stick together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Filling:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/4 cup lime or lemon juice</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 ripe avocado</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2 tbsp raw honey</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1/2 cup of cream from coconut milk or raw yogurt (if using canned, stick in the fridge for a couple hours and it will be on the top)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Mix together and spread on top of crust. Chill for at least an hour. </div>

Which was wonderful...of them! But, now I had to figure out what to bake with this beautiful orange treat. With some advice from his wife, I went simple. I decided to cut it up in small pieces and just fry it up in some coconut oil.<br />
<br />
To our surprise, it was absolutely AMAZING!! We added a little sea salt at the end to spice it up, but plain would have been just as tasty. <br />
<br />
Here is a picture of how it turned out! Oh... it's not orange, another big surprise! :)<br />
<br />
<br />
Make sure to check out this video of Kari as she discusses how to cut a pumpkin. This is the wonderful family who gave us our first pumpkin to cook! Such an amazing family, we are blessed to know them!<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">These muffins are absolutely AMAZING! As I told my husband, they taste just like a lemon doughnut. You are going to love them too. I added chia seeds, which gave them a little crunch. You could experiment around with this recipe for sure. Add blueberries, bananas, orange juice or anything else you think would be tasty!</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: inherit;"><br />
Let me know your thoughts on these!</span><br />

Make sure to read my page about what products to use and not use. No two things are alike, if you care about your health I would highly recommend you taking a second to read up :)</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: inherit;"><br />
p.s. These muffins were so good, I may have hoarded some in our room for a couple nights. No judging until you make them!</span>Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06050577194455027547noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-947537886053560123.post-80182609676934637572012-08-18T16:53:00.004-05:002012-09-07T14:48:52.575-05:00Chicken and Broccoli Casserole<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">This is one of my favorites! Of course us southern women love some well seasoned casserole, this is a super quick version of the no-so-healthy chicken casserole many of us used to make. Ditch the canned cream of chicken and go fresh and healthy. You can also bake this recipe, but usually I'm in too big of a hurry for all that mess. Hope you love it as much as I do! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">2 lbs. Free Range chicken</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">¾ th cup raw sour cream</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">2 tbsp raw butter - yes butter, you heard me! Raw butter is GOOD for you!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">2 cups Broccoli (cut into bite size pieces)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">¼ tsp basil</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">¼ tsp dill</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">¼ tsp poppy seeds</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Cut chicken into bite size pieces, cook on medium heat until about half done. Add dill, poppy seeds and basil. Cook 3 more minutes, add in broccoli.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">After broccoli has heated for about 3-5 minutes add in sour cream and butter. Heat thoroughly, and serve.</span>Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06050577194455027547noreply@blogger.com0
